Motorola's business head in India Amit Boni told The Times of India that the firm will continue its exclusive partnership with Flipkart. "The need to look into other options arises only when the chosen method is not 'sound enough," he said.
He said this with reference to strategic bet which Motorola took by deciding to sell its devices only through Flipkart. "Such a partnership was unheard of in the Indian market when it was first announced, but it has become an integral part of the country's online shopping arena now," he was quoted as having said.
Motorola next launch to arrive on the Flipkart will be the 4G-enabled Moto E model.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi, which too is an exclusively partner of Flipkart, recently decided to go for offline sales as well.
, an exclusively partner of e-commerce giant Flipkart, has reportedly made it very clear that it has no plans of selling its smartphones through retail stores.
The company said people can check their products at the Motorola Care centre in Bangalore and then order them from Flipkart.
