WhatsApp testing Unsend message feature and new Shortcuts in Beta version

WhatsApp is one of the most popular social media application across the world. Since its launch in 2009, it has been passing through many transitions making it more and more useful for an average user. Facebook, after acquiring it in 2014, also continued to push various updates and made it one of the unique messaging app.

Although many people dislike its frequent updates, yet many support it and want it to be perfect in all respects. Nowadays, a hot news about WhatsApp is that it is testing two new features in its beta release. Users all across the globe will enjoy these features after its worldwide release.

One of these two important features getting ready for launch in the near future is “Unsend” feature. This feature will enable users to retrieve or delete their sent messages within a specific time. A separate window will appear, giving the option to unsend message, for 5 minutes. After the expiry of aforesaid time, the window will disappear, and this option will vanish. This feature will ease the users to retrieve or delete unwanted messages.

WhatsApp has also announced another very good feature included in this beta release. It is the “shortcuts” used for formatting texts. Earlier, users have to remember many commands for formatting the written text. For example, they have to put asterisks on both sides of the word to bold it. Users have to use various commands for different formatting options. But now, they will perform all these operations on clicking the shortcut tabs.

WABetainfo shows the version of this update, under the testing stage, as 0.2.4077. If it earns positive reviews from testers, it will roll out globally in the near future. The addition of these features will make it a unique application in the world of social media.
