OnePlus 5 spotted again, launch date set for Q2 2017

OnePlus just the other day confirmed the name of its next flagship. Kind of. Logically, it should have been OnePlus 4, but no, that's not happening. Instead, proving all the rumours right, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer confirmed that next flagship will be the OnePlus 5. The smartphone is expected to launch in the coming months although the company is yet to confirm the exact date. But expect the OnePlus 5 to arrive in Q2, which means before the June-end.
Ahead of the launch, several speculations about the smartphone -- OnePlus 5 -- have been surfacing online. This device, as far as the rumours are concerned, is going to be the most premium version on the OnePlus smartphone line up and will beat the previously announced OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

A new rumour about the OnePlus 5 keeps coming in every now and then. And this time, the smartphone has been spotted in the database of China's Radio Regulation Authority, revealing almost all the specifications. The smartphone is expected to come with a model number - A5000.
The listing leaked now along with the earlier ones, shows almost the similar specifications. OnePlus 5 with the model number A5000 is expected to come with 8GB of RAM. The key highlight of the smartphone will be its processor. The OnePlus 5 is expected to, at least that's what the speculations suggest, is going to be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor - Snapdragon 835 SoC.
This being said, it can't be denied that OnePlus 5 will have to fight a tough battle with other smartphones that have almost similar features. One such phone will be the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Also the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6, HTC U (better known as HTC Ocean) will compete with the OnePlus 5. Earlier speculations reveal that OnePlus 5 is planning to replace the patent aluminum body of the phone with a ceramic one.
The leaked listings also show that the upcoming OnePlus 5 is expected to come with a much sleeker frame and an improved display. This means, OnePlus 5 is going to be much better and high-end as far as the display is concerned. Currently, the OnePlus 3T is a phone that is well known for its sharp camera. It is expected that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will surely have the similar performance. The smartphone, as far as the speculations are concerned, is going to sport a dual camera setup. Further, the smartphone will be featuring a 23-megapixel camera on the rear panel, while there will be a 16-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. This shows that there will be no difference at least in terms of the front camera set-up, when compared to the previously launched OnePlus 3T.
Further, a storage specification of the OnePlus 5 has also been revealed. The flagship smartphone is expected to come in two storage and RAM variants -- 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage unit and 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB storage. Users will possibly have the option of expanding the storage up to 256GB via an external microSD card. The OnePlus 5 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with OnePlus OxygenOS UI as the top layer on it.

Further, other rumours surfacing the web show that the upcoming the OnePlus 5 flagship device will house a 4000mAh battery coupled with Dash Charge fast charging support. The smartphone is also expected to come with a Type-C USB port and with wireless charging.
Speculations suggest that the OnePlus will unveil OnePlus 5 in Q2 of 2017. No pricing details are revealed as of yet, although chances are that it may be priced much higher than OnePlus 3T.
